Team GB Olympic sailor Kate Macgregor has pledged to take part in Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s Twilight Walk for Women on Friday, June 6.

Participants can stroll 1km, 5km or 10km. Registration forms can be picked up from the charity office in the hospital entrance or bournem outhhospitalcharity.org.uk.

The talented sportswoman was the youngest member of Team GB’s sailing squad when she lined up alongside sister Lucy Macgregor and Annie Lush in the women’s match racing class at the 2012 Games.

One of the medal favourites going into the Games, the Poole trio finished seventh in Weymouth after their exit at the quarter-final stage a year previously.

Kate returned to Southampton Solent University to complete her business management degree following London 2012.

And last year, having gone back to school to finish her studies, she threw herself into learning a new sailing discipline after match racing was dropped from the Olympic schedule.
