RINGWOOD'S carnival princesses have been crowned ahead of this year's event in September.
Cllr Steve Rippon-Swaine, mayor of the town, held a ceremony for the two chosen princesses, who will take their places at the carnival on September 20.
The two lucky girls are Chloe Butler, 11, from Ringwood Junior School, and Laura Haskett, 10, from Poulner Junior School.
Cllr Rippon-Swaine said: “We have many exciting events happening in Ringwood this year, including Fanfare4Spring, the Pedal Car Grand Prix and the carnival at the end of September. Everyone is welcome to come and join our thriving community for any of the events.”
Ringwood Carnival will see processions at 2pm and 7.15pm.
The Village Green Market will be open from 11am to 5pm, with stalls of local produce, entertainments and fun for children. With bands playing throughout the town all day, a funfair on The Bickerley and a live band on the stage from 8.30pm, there is set to be fun for everyone.
