MUSIC lovers enjoyed Ringwood’s annual Fanfare for Spring street festival earlier this month.

The event, billed as an international festival of street performance art, saw a wide variety of performers around the town.

Folk dancing fans were delighted to see that many well-known groups were on the bill, including such names as Spank the Planks Appalachian Clog Dance team.

Street theatre performers included the Big Little Theatre and Forest Forge Young Theatre group, the Milford-on-Sea Mummers Players and dance groups, including the imaginative Joli-Vyann and the New Forest Dance School.

Ringwood Musical and Dramatic Society sang numbers from their latest show.

Stage Coach, Sally Adams Dance Works, buskers and other performers were also around the town.

The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Ringwood and Ringwood Ex-Tablers Club.
