Not a nice comment when someone is perhaps fighting for his life. I can never understand a car driver not stopping when they hit someone, the only reason would be drink driving.

If you read it, it says the driver was a woman from Surrey and doesn't say anywhere that she didn't stop.

Myself and a friend told the police and security multiple times at Bournemouth 7s that there were drunk people walking down the 60mph roads and it was an accident waiting to happen. Every single police officer and security people didn't bat an eyelid and on one occassion the police told me not to stop. It was an accident waiting to happen - hopefully tonight will be a different story with more security & police patrolling. Thoughts are with the driver and injuredkan.

If she hadn't stopped, how would we know the driver was female & from Surrey?

I've got no sympathy for the drunken idiot who jumped out in front of this poor woman giving her no time to stop. My thoughts are with the driver.

An accident waiting to happen because drivers don't pay enough attention.

You're clearly not a driver then. Unlit roads, pitch black and corners and a pedestrian jumps out in front of your car. Impossible to stop in a split second no matter how fast you are going.

Why does every story on these pages result in a tit for tat argument over what was said or not said, with the whole aspect of the story in general being lost.

No wonder the numbers are dwindling on here.
