CONCERNS are growing for the safety of a missing Berkshire man whose car was discovered in Wareham earlier this week.
Richard Brockbank, from Thatcham, was last spotted at a Newbury petrol station around 10pm earlier this week.
A campaign to safely locate the 27-year-old has been launched on Twitter, with people getting involved from as far away as Australia.
Thames Valley Police think Richard is somewhere in the Dorset area, following the discovery of his black Ford Fiesta car.
Chief Inspector Rob France, who is leading the search for the Thames Valley force, said: “We are increasingly concerned for Richard’s welfare as he hasn’t been seen since Monday, neither has he been in contact with family and friends, which is very out of character for him.
“I urge anyone who has seen him or has any information on his whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Richard is white, 5ft 9ins with short black hair, a trimmed beard, and of average build.
He was last seen wearing a light green hooded top with a large logo on the front, and dark jeans.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference URN 77 of 20/5
