DESPITE the miserable weather dozens of people turned up to see TV presenter Andi Peters filming at Bournemouth seafront this morning.

The Good Morning Britain presenter battled against the wind and rain while filming for the live ITV show along the promenade before taking shelter inside WestBeach restaurant.

Speaking to the Daily Echo after the show the TV star said: “I have loved it even though the weather has been awful. We arrived last night and stayed in a lovely local hotel with really lovely people.

“This morning was great.

“But I didn’t get any rock – I’m gutted.”

Ahead of this weekend’s Wheels Festival classic car enthusiasts brought their treasured motors to the seafront for the show.

Bournemouth resident Dorian Smith was left smiling after winning £1,600 during the show’s trademark “wheel of cash” game.

The 37-year-old said the money will go towards taking his five-year-old son Charlie on a family holiday to Disney World.

“It still hasn’t really sunk in,” he said.

“I was just happy to come down here. I’ve got an A-Team van and didn’t know if it was going to be a waste of time bring it down but they filmed next to it.

“Yesterday we booked flights to go to Florida next year so the money will go towards that.”

He added: “It was an interesting experience to see the filming. It’s just a shame about the weather.

Nick Hewitt, head chef at WestBeach, said around thirty people came to the restaurant to see the show being filmed.

He said: “It’s been good fun. It’s something a bit different.”

The 32-year-old added: “Andi Peters was a really nice guy. I even got a selfie with him.”
