ROBBERS chased and threw a man to the ground before punching and kicking him in Bournemouth earlier this month.

The 45-year-old victim, from Bournemouth, was lucky to escape with only minor injuries. He was allowed to his feet after a few minutes and told to hand over his belongings, a mobile phone, before the pair of thieves fled through the park.

Dorset Police released details of the incident, which took place near the skate park in King's Park at around 9.30pm on Sunday, May 11, along with an e-fit image of one of the offenders.

Police Constable Phillip Riggs, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim. I am now able to release an e-fit of one of the offenders I am keen to identify as soon as possible.”

The suspect was described as between 27 and 37 years old, of athletic build, and about six feet three inches tall. He had short brown hair, was clean shaven and wearing a dark coloured long sleeved top. The second suspect was not seen by the victim.
