A GROUP of young carers were treated to tea with the Mayor in recognition of the vital work they do.
The Bournemouth youngsters met with Mayor of Bournemouth Cllr Rod Cooper and his wife Elaine in the Mayor’s Parlour at the Town Hall.
Cllr Chris Wakefield, the council’s carers’ champion, was also there. He recently raised more than £500 by sky-diving from 15,000 feet and intends to use the money to enable the youngsters to have a day out at a local theme park.
