SIX fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were called to tackle a roof blaze at a block of flats in Bournemouth.
The drama in St Anthony's Road, Westbourne, occurred just after 5.30pm this evening.
Dorset Police were also at the scene and the Red Cross attended to offer assistance to the occupants.
The cause of the fire in the roof space is believed to be accidental. Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said they also carried out a salvage operation.
A DFRS spokesperson said no-one was hurt in the incident.
