THE team from the Steve Prescott Foundation taking on the gruelling Lands End to John O’Groats trek have had their spirits raised by the support of a well-known Australian band The Wiggles.

The four-piece famous children’s group have put together a song in support of the Steve Prescott Foundation members taking on the famous challenge with a video available on YouTube.

The group, who have had songs played to pre-school children around the world, were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame alongside Kylie Minogue in 2011.

There are eight walkers taking on the challenge for the Foundation, among them SPF chairman Mike Denning and former rugby league players Paul Sculthorope, Tommy Martyn and Lee Briers.

The short song, performed by members Anthony Field, Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie and Simon Pryce, features specialised lyrics about Steve and the charity, including reference to Steve’s famous motivational message: ‘The body achieves what the mind believes.’

In their history spanning over 20 years, the group has earned seventeen gold, twelve platinum, three double-platinum, and ten multi-platinum awards, selling over 17 million DVDs and four million CDs in over 20 years.

Founding band member Anthony Field Tweeted a personal message of support to the walkers “Guys all the best, keep walking for Precky! #lejog4precky” while the band’s official Twitter account wished all of the team a safe walk.
