YOUNG people will celebrate diversity and discuss ways of tackling discrimination at a Poole conference next Tuesday.
The Explore Diversity Conference at the Lighthouse will feature a range of workshops and presentations aimed at young people from Dorset schools.
The conference, organised by the Diverse Dorset consortium, breaks down the nine strands of the Equalities Act 2010 in a youth-friendly way. There will be workshops on racism, disability, sexual orientation and transgender issues, HIV/Aids, age and faith.
Pupils from Heathlands Primary School will deliver a presentation about the Rights of the Child.
This is the second Explore Diversity conference that Diverse Dorset has held.
The first was at the Life Centre in Winton in November 2012.
