A ONE-man play re-enacting the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus, is coming to Swanage.

Actor Mark Topping will stage ‘Impossible God’ at Swanage Methodist Church on May 10.

Mark said: “The drama is a powerful exploration of events at the heart of Christianity. You are taken on an imaginative journey and challenged to look again at Jesus of Nazareth and reflect on what it might all mean.”

The performance is part of Swanage Methodist Church’s ‘Raise the Roof’ fundraising campaign.

A spokesman explained: “Mark Topping has toured England, Wales and Ireland for the last five years playing John Wesley in ‘An Evening with John Wesley’ and ‘My Own Familiar Friend’. He has appeared as John Wesley on BBC TV’s Songs of Praise and Flog It.”

The book ‘An Impossible God’ was written and adapted for the stage by author, actor, broadcaster and Methodist minister Frank Topping, Mark Topping’s father.

The performance takes place at Swanage Methodist Church, May 10, at 7.30pm. Call 01929 422421.
