A BOURNEMOUTH man accused of carrying out three armed robberies at betting shops on three consecutive days has appeared in court.
David Hinde, of Walpole Road, appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates Court this morning charged with three counts of robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and threatening people with a blade or sharply pointed instrument.
The case was sent to Bournemouth Crown Court where Hinde is next due to appear via video link on Saturday, June 5.
Hinde was remanded in custody.
The charges relate to an alleged raid on Wednesday May 7 at Ladbrokes in Christchurch Road, Boscombe East/Pokesdown, where the store was said to have been held up by a suited man wielding a hammer.
The following day Coral in Castle Lane West was said to have been targeted by a robber armed with a knife, and on Friday a man was arrested in the Portsmouth area following an alleged raid at Ladbrokes in Leith Avenue, Portchester.
