ST Peter’s Church in Bournemouth Town Centre will devoting Sunday, May 11 to a special musical event.
The day will celebrate the burgeoning collaboration between the church’s music department and that of Bournemouth University.
At 10am, the preacher at the Sung Eucharist will be former town centre rector Canon Jim Richardson.
The music, including Stanford’s Ye Choirs of New Jerusalem and a full Mozart Mass, will be led by St Peter’s Choir, under director of music Sam Hanson, with Bournemouth University Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra, under head of music Ian Davis.
At 7pm, Bournemouth University Orchestra will perform a free concert, with a retiring collection for the St Peter’s Development Project.
