A RADIO advertising campaign for a law firm saw the company forming a choir from its own staff.

Communications agency Caviar created the campaign for Christchurch and New Forest-based solicitor Frettens.

The choir was coached by musical director Alison Russell-Hayward, who leads the New Forest Children’s Choir, winners of BBC Choir of the Year 2010.

After weeks of intense rehearsal, the singing solicitors recorded their very own jingle You Only Have To Ask Us, which is currently airing on Heart FM and Jack FM.

Laura Balmer, marketing manager for Frettens, said: “Our reason for this radio campaign was to try and change perceptions that solicitors are formal and intimidating.

“We also wanted to encourage people with any legal problems to just pick up the phone and ask for our help.

“It has worked brilliantly for Frettens and enquiries have consistently increased since the jingle aired.

“When new clients come in and ask whether we are going to sing for them, we know we created something memorable and, hopefully, have corrected a few misunderstandings about what solicitors are really like!”

Caviar’s director and co-founder Caron Khan said: “With the rise of digital media in today’s technologically advanced world it is reassuring to know that radio still has a significant role to play.”

Nasreen El-Mariesh, co-founder of Caviar PR, said: “It’s easy to get swept up in the surge of social media trends and take your eye off what can be a very targeted, and therefore, effective medium.

“We always first identify our clients’ needs based on their objectives and target audience before making any recommendations.”
