BAKING fans can perfect their skills and raise money for charity at the same time, while attending a special cupcake decorating class.

The event is being held as part of this year’s Great Dorset Bake Sale, run by Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus on Monday, May 5, at 7.30pm in Talbot Village.

Attendees will get the chance to perfect their icing skills, cover pre-baked cupcakes with fondant icing and piped buttercream and learn modelling techniques to make sugar paste flowers and butterflies.

All materials and tools will be provided and attendees will take six decorated cupcakes home with them.

The course costs £25 per person, with £20 of the fee donated to the charity, which supports more than 600 children and adults with disabilities in Dorset.

To sign up to the cupcake course or the charity’s Great Dorset Bake Sale, call Beccy Payne on 01202 718266 or email beccy.payne@diverseabilititesplus.org.uk.
