SCHOOLGIRL Lauren Lett will be the belle of the ball after winning Prom Star 2014.

The 16-year-old Twynham School pupil will be the face of Bournemouth’s Fab Frocks following her success in the Westbourne boutique’s annual competition.

Lauren has already enjoyed a professional photo shoot and a model makeover with MWAH beauty salon in Bournemouth. The lucky schoolgirl also got the chance to choose a designer prom dress from Fab Frocks as well as shoes and a handbag with prizes worth more than £1,000.

Fab Frocks has also donated £200 to her school to help make the spectacular Year 11 Graduation Prom even more special.

Lauren’s mum, Karen, entered her daughter into the competition without telling her.

She said: “To suddenly be given the opportunity to choose any dress I want in the Fab Frocks range is like a dream come true. I am especially looking forward to the prom now and I am really pleased Twynham School also benefits from the prize and has some money to put towards the event.”

A spokesman for the school said: “Twynham School is thankful to Fab Frocks for the prize of £200 and look forward to celebrating the end of such an important year with Lauren and the rest of Year 11. “The students, together with the teachers, have worked exceptionally hard this year and have already produced impressive GCSE results in English. We are sure this year group can re-produce those impressive results in the summer exams. They will truly have earned the right to celebrate a successful year at the graduation prom.”
