POLICE want to speak to these women after the theft of a handbag in Poole town centre.

The force this morning revealed details of the incident, in which a 25-year-old local woman had cash stolen from her handbag on March 25.

A spokesman said that it happened at 11.25am that day in Primark at The Dolphin Centre. Prior to this the victim had withdrawn money from a nearby cash point.

PC Luke Davis, of Poole police, said: “Following further enquiries, I am now able to release two images of two women who may be able to assist with my investigation.

“I urge anyone who recognises the women pictured to contact me, in confidence.

“I also would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the theft in the store at the time.”

The older of the two offenders is described as having a mole on her right cheek and being around 40 years old.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101, quoting incident number 25:149. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
