He'll probably claim assault against the member of the public who made the citizens arrest?

Then be on the front of the paper looking sad and saying he's too traumatised to damage cars any more.

No doubt he is now practising his folded arms pose as taught by the Echo photographer.

Or put him in a short dress and make him seductively like a model across said motor... Like as in a recent story.

I hope the arresting citizen said all the correct words when making the arrest or offender will get off on a technicality , and not " Got you, you little Sh1t "

Probably, it's only coppers who are allowed to assault people as part of the job... ;-)

Nope

The member of the public wil be on the front page, with his arms folded, saying he's been too traumatised by the police to make any more citizen's arrests.

Putting my serious hat on:

Well done, that man. We need more people like you to stand up and be counted.

Apparently, no specific words or phrases are required.

For those of you who would be prepared to have a go, here's a short guide:

The coppers giving the villains a good kicking would go some way towards making up for the completely inadequate sentences that sometimes get handed down, like the guy who's just got four months for destroying a young lady's life by knocking her off her bike on the A338. His list of convictions dates back 18 years, what would he have got for a first offense?
