A LAW firm is offering six deserving women the chance to take part in an award-winning career and personal development programme.

Wimborne-based Harold G Walker says the initiative will give six local women – whether currently employed or not – the chance to improve their lives.

It has joined with the Springboard Women’s Development Programme to offer the opportunity, valued at £3,000.

It says nominees might work in the voluntary, charity or community sector, be those looking to return to work after time at home, or be those soon to retire.

Harold G Walker managing partner Nicola Lowe said: “We will be giving six local women a chance to improve their lives whether they are employed or unemployed. “In our opinion, everyone is ‘born to shine’. However, often, life circumstances and a lack of skills and opportunities can prevent that from happening. This course will give women a chance to develop themselves, as well as benefit their employer, family and the community.”

The workshops will be led by Gill Donnell, a licensed Springboard trainer, motivational speaker and author of Celebr8 Success.

Applicants can put themselves forward or be nominated at hgwalker.co.uk/news.

Applications need to state in a few sentences how the course will benefit the individual or the organisation.

Entries must be made by April 30 and the only proviso is that nominees must be able to attend all four workshops, which take place on May 13, June 3, June 24 and July 15 at the Business and Conference Centre, Bovington Park.

Entries can also be submitted in writing to Nicola Lowe, HG Walker Solicitors, 1 The Square, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 1PS, or to Gill Donnell, One Team Advisory, Suite 1 Escalus House, Queen Mother Square, Poundbury, Dorchester DT1 3BL.
