THE Vienna Festival Ballet returns to Swanage’s Mowlem Theatre this month with a performance of Cinderella.
With a collection of music taken from the vast array of Italian composer Rossini’s operatic achievements, Cinderella is the classic rags-to-riches fairytale.
Vienna Festival Ballet spokesman Gill Mallek said: “Audiences will recognise some of Rossini’s most famous operas within the ballet – La Cenerentola, the Italian Girl in Algiers and Silken Ladder.
The music was then recorded especially for the company by the leading orchestra in Kosice, Slovakia, conducted by Nicholls himself.”
The ballet will be performed at the Mowlem Theatre, Swanage, on April 17 at 7.30pm.
