A MAN will appear before Bournemouth magistrates today charged with causing the death of an elderly man in a collision.
Janis Dauvarts, 44, of Bournemouth Road in Poole, faces a single charge of causing death by careless driving.
It follows the death of Stanley Rogers in Christchurch High Street on September 20 last year.
Mr Rogers, 79, was treated by paramedics following an alleged collision, but was pronounced dead at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital shortly afterwards.
He had lived in Harbour Road, Southbourne, close to Hengistbury Head.
