THE smiles say it all – these are the winners of this year’s Child of the Year competition.

The Daily Echo’s popular contest to find the children with the most dazzling and winning smile attracted almost 300 entrants and more than 3,000 votes.

And these are the youngsters who have emerged triumphant in the various different age categories.

Bobby French, aged five-and-a-half months from Alderney, won the 0 – 9 month category, while 13-month-old Isabelle Docherty of Ensbury Park topped the poll in the 10-18 month category.

Two-year-old James Collins, of Bournemouth, was the winning child in the 19- 35 months category and three-year-old Harrison Spark, of Parkstone, triumphed in the three to five age group. The oldest winner was eight-year-old Alisha Chase, of Colehill, who polled the most votes in the six to 12 year old category.

All the category winners will receive a canvas print of their winning portrait and a trophy from Broadstone-based Fraser Portraits, who took all the photographs.

A total of 271 children were entered into this year’s competition and the online gallery of entrants was viewed more than 10,000 times. There were 2,363 text votes and 168 postal votes.
