A BOURNEMOUTH man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash on a Dorset road.
David Churcher, 32, is accused of causing the death of 49-year-old Stephen Christopher Fawcett on the A35 near Bridport on August 19 last year.
Mr Fawcett lost his life on the road, close to Woodlands Farm Kennels, following a collision involving three vans.
He was driving a white Iveco van.
A second man from Bournemouth suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, and was cut free from his cab by firefighters before being airlifted by the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance to Southampton Hospital.
A third man, a 48-year-old from Wareham driving a silver Volkswagen Transporter, suffered minor injuries.
Churcher will appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court for a first hearing on May 14.
