DORSET Fire and Rescue Service cut the roof off a vehicle following a two-car crash in Southbourne yesterday evening.
A call made to Dorset Police at 9.02pm, with reports of the collision, which happened at the junction of Beaufort Road and Southbourne Road, leading to police officers closing the main road while the incident was ongoing.
Two crews from Christchurch Fire Station attended the scene and on arrival, found one person trapped in a blue Toyota Yaris.
Fire fighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to take the roof off the car and removed one person before working to make the vehicle safe by isolating the battery unit.
The incident, which also involved a silver Skoda Superb, resulted in only minor injuries.
Southbourne Road was fully re-open by 10.23pm.
