A TEENAGER will face a trial later this year after pleading not guilty to attempted murder.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Bournemouth Youth Court this afternoon.
He denies stabbing a homeless man at Undercliff Drive, East Beach, in the early hours of last Friday, April 4.
Police cordoned off a section of the road, which runs along Bournemouth seafront, at around 5.10am that day.
A 35-year-old man sustained stab wounds and required hospital treatment.
The 16-year-old of Bournemouth, also denies a charge of possessing an imitation firearm.
He will appear at Winchester Crown Court next Thursday, April 17, for a preliminary hearing.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police has called for anyone with information about the incident to call 101, quoting incident number 4:41.
