A BRIGHTLY coloured Easter-themed taxi is travelling around Poole to raise money for a children’s hospital unit.
Belonging to Paul Owen from Poole Radio Cabs, the vehicle has been turned into a multi-coloured menagerie with toy chicks, ribbon and pictures of Easter eggs, to fundraise for Gully’s Place, based at Poole Hospital.
The special care children’s unit offers a place for kids and young people who require palliative and end-of-life care or those with autism who need a quiet and relaxed environment while receiving hospital treatment.
Paul said: “It’s really nice to see not only the looks on children’s faces, but on adult’s faces too, as they do a double take or use their phones to take a picture as I drive past. In December, I raised £1,113 for Gully’s Place when I decorated my taxi for Christmas, thanks to donations from customers.
