Careless & reckless people ride bikes. And careless & reckless people drive cars. I do both, yet would like to think of myself as neither careless or reckless while on our roads. Note the use of "our" roads. Not "mine", not "yours", but "ours". We have a collective responsibility for each other's safety and it's imperative that everyone strives to be alert to all other road users while travelling around, irrespective of the number of wheels on our chosen vehicles.
Get well soon, biker friend. I truly hope that you'll be back on two wheels soon.

Just because you drive a truck, doesn't make you a good driver. I was almost run off the road on Monday in the pouring rain at the Mountbatten roundabout by a driver of a local recycling company's artic who decided that mme being in the correct lane for the direction I was going was an inconvenience to him and he decided to change lanes anyway, despite my horn warning, flashing headlight and spot lights and wearing hi viz. Total arrogant, bullying truck driver.
Fortunately I had a sense that he wasn't going to stay in the lane he was in, and backed off. So it shows that not all bikers speed and ride dangerously

Yes remember IF the driver of the Jeep is at fault! I am related to him and I can tell you I haven't even been able to speak to him because he is too traumatised to speak to anyone! He is a great guy and does take A LOT of care with motorbikes as another family member was killed on his, he is not a reckless driver and is in a terrible state, so please do not cast silly comments around and make judgements!

It's a very rare car vs bike incident where the biker doesn't come off worst, regardless of how well he rides.

Ohh and a few Grand compensation after the car driver was done for driving without due care and attention.
Life goes on.

No need to wish them well.i don't know them. All the people who personally know them will do that.
