Bournemouth Echo: Arrests in Boscombe after alleged fight at betting shop Arrests in Boscombe after alleged fight at betting shop

ARRESTS have been made in Boscombe this evening after an alleged fight outside a betting shop.

Witnesses in Sea Road say two men have been handcuffed and led away by officers.

A fight is alleged to have broken out following betting on a football match.

However, no injuries have been reported.

Police were seen in Sea Road shortly after 5.30pm, and one man, who lives nearby, said: "There's a very heavy police presence here.

"At least three vans are here, and there are also some police cars too."

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a fight in Christchurch Road close to Ladbrokes.

"Police then went to Sea Road in pursuit of the alleged offenders, and arrests have been made."

I thought they were taking bets on the poliice tardis which open on Monday to see how long it would be there before being pulled down or some prankster doing something to it.

Wait till Mitchell puts in plans to build it bigger, with a car park.

No you're not correct - Boscombe is not a no-go area at any time, day or night.

Pay a visit over there - yes it has its fair share of issues like any area but if you look beyond what you read or hear about, you will see for yourself what is the reality.

I was walking up Ashley Road when 3 police cars and a wagon went roaring by. This was just after football had finished so sorry wasn't fans who had attended the game that were involved. Boscombe does have some unrequired living there but id not a no go area. Don't believe everything somepeople

I'm a female in her twenties and I've walked through Boscombe on my own in the dark at all hours coming home from nights out. I've never been a victim of crime in the area or witnessed anything untoward, I see more problems in Lansdowne near my office!

Mitchell never applies for planning, he just goes ahead and gets in bother later on.
