A TEENAGER was threatened with a meat cleaver by a man who attempted to rob him in Kinson.

Detectives are looking for the man, releasing an e-fit image of him, after he went to a property in South Kinson Drive at around 10.25pm on Saturday, March 22.

Police released details of the incident this afternoon.

They said that the victim, a 19-year-old man, answered the door to the would-be robber, who demanded money while threatening him with the meat cleaver.

When the victim did not give him anything, the offender left.

Detective Constable Ben Morgan, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “The victim was uninjured although shaken by the ordeal.

“I am now in the position to release an e-fit of the offender which I am keen to identify as soon as possible.

“I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to contact Dorset Police.”

Police said the man was white, approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a white shirt and pink tie. He is believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties.

DC Morgan added: “I am appealing for anyone who recalls any suspicious activity in the area at the time and anyone with any information about the man responsible to come forward.”
