DETECTIVES in Bournemouth are searching for witnesses after an attack in the town.

During the incident, which took place at Poole Hill at around 4am on Thursday, March 27, the victims – who are aged 43 and 26 – were assaulted by three men.

Both sustained injuries which required hospital treatment.

One suffered severe bruising and swelling and the other had a broken collar bone.

CCTV images of two men police would like to speak with have now been released.

Detective Constable Jonathan Sainsbury, of Bournemouth and Poole CID said: “It is believed that this was an unprovoked attack that occurred as the two victims and another woman were walking along Poole Hill away from the town centre.

“Following enquiries, I am now able to release CCTV images of two men who may be able to help us with our investigation. I would urge the men pictured – and anyone who recognises them – to contact Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.

“I would ask witnesses – anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the time of this incident – and anyone with information about the people responsible, to call Dorset Police on 101.”

A 32-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
