A CAR rolled into Poole Park Lake in the early morning after a reported handbrake failure, police say.
The blue Peugeot 206 was stuck in the boating lake in need of some heavy machinery to raise it back to dry land.
Borough of Poole told the Daily Echo they were aware of the issue and the police had been in contact with the car’s owner.
Dorset Police were informed of the incident around 12.40am this morning.
The car is registered to a woman from Blandford, but it was being driven by a man at the time.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “No-one was in the vehicle when it rolled into the lake. It looks like the handbrake was applied, the driver has got out of the car and it has then rolled into the lake.”
The car was recovered at around 12.30pm.
