BOURNEMOUTH residents affected by flooding are being urged to apply for grants of up to £5,000 to try and protect their properties in the future.
The Repair and Renew Grant was launched yesterday to support those affected by flooding between December 1 2013 and March 31 2014.
Charitable organisations and businesses are also eligible to claim where day-to-day business was affected by flooding of their premises during the same period.
The grant application form sets out what measures are eligible and includes works such as altering floors and moving electrics, waterproofing external walls and installing a garage or driveway barrier. The deadline for The Repair and Renew Grant applications is June 30.
More information about the grant is available on Bournemouth council’s website or by phoning 01202 451451.
