A GROUP of youngsters from Bournemouth hoping to raise £5,000 for charity are hosting an international food festival and disco on Saturday, March 29.

The team of five, aged 13 and 14, have organised the Food ‘n’ Funk event to raise funds for the Centre for Wessex Young Musicians and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Both events will be held at the Bishop of Winchester Academy.

The food festival, which promises to feature dishes from around the world, will take place between 5pm and 8pm. The disco will follow.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children for each event.

Family tickets cost £15.
