A HOLIDAY company says its revenue rose 60 per cent in the first two months of 2014 compared with the same period last year.

Select Resorts Holidays says a rebranding last autumn has helped reinforce its position at the higher end of the market.

It is part of the Select Resorts Group, which employs 16 people in Poole and expects to create more jobs this year. It has 20 years’ experience in the holiday market and selects destinations in Portugal, Spain, Cyprus, the Mediterranean and further afield.

Many of its locations are accessible from Bournemouth Airport so that locals can be at their holiday villa or apartment within a few hours.

Resorts include Quinta do Lago in Portugal, as well as others with similar quality and reputations. Select Resorts’ group marketing director Michael Reilly, pictured right, said: “The first two months of 2014 have seen massive growth – up 60 per cent on 2013.

“We had a rebrand last year that has boosted enquiries and sales and we anticipate continued growth this year.

“The awful wet winter has probably prompted a few more to look ahead to a break in the sun.”
