TWO Dorset companies have teamed up to offer action-packed activities in the countryside as well as luxury tented accommodation.

Blandford-based tent and event company Honeybells has partnered with nearby Gorcombe Farm activity centre for corporate events and stag and hen parties.

Adrenalin-fuelled outdoor activities will take place a few metres from tent ‘villages’ filled with home comforts.

Honeybells tents include single or double beds with bedding, carpet, mirrors, doormats, tables and indoor and outdoor lighting. The luxury package involves sheepskin rugs, double mattresses, duvets, pillows and towels.

Honeybells also offers a ‘pamper tent’ with mirrors, hair dryers, phone and hair straightener power points.

Groups visiting Gorcombe Farm can enjoy adrenalin-fuelled activities including dirt buggies, clay pigeon shooting, archery, paintballing, quad-biking, team building and zorbing.

Honeybells is owned by Samantha Gater and Ross McBay, who have built a reputation in the wedding, festival and corporate sectors. The company has a portable canvas-based ‘hotel’ to sleep up to 400 guests and its key contacts have included Glastonbury, F1 Grand Prix and Moto GP at Silverstone, Le Mans, and Lily Allen’s wedding.

Managing director Ross McBay said: “We’re delighted to have teamed up with Gorcombe Farm, as together we can offer exclusive yet affordable luxury alongside a range of exciting events to suit all budgets, ages and levels of courage.

“We can help provide a further boost to the local tourism economy.”
