A MAN has been arrested in connection with two robberies in West Moors.
Police say a 58-year-old man has been arrested in Somerset in connection with recent robberies at Tesco Express and Ladbrokes on Station Road.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “A 58-year-old man from the Ferndown area has been arrested in Somerset on suspicion of robbery and is helping police with their enquiries.”
On Friday police were called to Tesco Express following reports a man brandishing a pole had demanded money from staff.
The robber is believed to have been disarmed by staff before fleeing the scene.
On Wednesday February 26 armed police were called to Ladbrokes after a female employee reported a man had entered the shop with a knife demanding cash.
