MYSTERY cameras that have popped up on Wallisdown Roundabout have been identified as traffic cameras.

A spokesperson for Bournemouth Borough Council said that the cameras were installed along Alder Road and Wallisdown Road for a traffic survey.

She confirmed that they were installed on Tuesday March 11 and removed on last night.

The cameras were spotted by local carpenter Graeme Samways who took a photo and tweeted the Echo to find out what the mystery cameras were.

The cameras were spotted on Wallisdown Roundabout and the nearby roads.

If these camera's are anything to do with the Ministry of Transport in planning re-arrangements - BEWARE. The same tactic was used at Canford Bottom before our 'roundabout' got 72 sets of traffic lights and total chaos ensued.

What could they possibly do to make Wallisdown roundabout even more of a cluster-screw up than it already is?

I'm sure our esteemed council could find a way mind

When there was that nasty incident in Kinson last week, I found my way out to the Canford Bottom Roundabout. Dont get out there much these days. It's some kind of road planner's fantasy, or bad dream. Naturally, it took me more than 15 minutes to actually get to it on Ham Lane. How much did it cost, how much worse had it made the junction... The Rabbits died for nothing.
