FIRE crews attended to an oil spill this afternoon following a leak from a moped which was involved in an incident on Wimborne Road.

The call was made to the emergency services at around 3.15pm with reports of the RTC close to the Joint Emergency Services building on the busy main road, off the George Roundabout.

It is believed to have involved a white Mini Cooper, registered to a man from Poole, and a red Peugeot Speedfight, registered to a Poole man.

Crews from Poole Fire Station attended the scene after it is believed that fluid was leaking from the moped.

Ambulance staff attended to a male at the scene, who was riding the moped when the accident happened, and the road was subsequently fully cleared by 4.10pm.
