COMMUTERS between Poole town and Hamworthy are set for disruption at the end of the month when the Twin Sails Bridge closes for annual maintenance.
Notification of the closure was issued by the Borough of Poole yesterday and the bridge, along with Rigler Road, will be shut to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians from 7am on March 31 until 7am on April 7.
Boat traffic will not be affected, the council said. A diversion will be put in place via the old Poole Bridge and the scheduled lifts will take place as normal.
Access for businesses in Rigler Road will be maintained.
