A WOMAN has been charged with child neglect offences after a two-year-old boy was found in an alleyway in Charminster.
As reported in the Daily Echo, police were called to the scene off Chelsea Gardens, at the bottom of Malmesbury Park Road, on Saturday, December 14, at around 5pm.
An investigation was launched as to how the boy had got there and officers also appealed for a Good Samaritan who found him to come forward.
Today, after being asked by the Daily Echo, police confirmed that a 34-year-old Bournemouth woman had been charged and will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates Court on March 14.
She has been charged with assault, ill-treatment, neglect and abandoning a child to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.
