A MAN kicked and screamed at police officers after refusing to leave McDonald’s in Boscombe at closing time.

Marcin Behrenet, 38, kicked off when he was asked by staff to leave the fast food restaurant on January 31.

The court heard how he was drunk and when officers tried to remove him he dropped to his knees and then had to be dragged out of the restaurant.

When the officers got him outside he lay on the floor and refused to move so officers were forced to arrest him.

Behrenet pleaded guilty to the drunk and disorderly charge, and a further one of stealing a bottle of vodka from Asda on February 19 and also failing his bail conditions.

Magistrates were told that Behrenet, of no fixed abode, had numerous previous convictions and was sent to prison in December last year.

In defence, Mark Price said Behrenet had previously lost his job at Sunseeker and had not worked since. This has led to an alcohol problem which is central to his reoffending.

The head magistrate told Behrenet: “We have had a look at your record and we have decided to protect the public.”

They sent Behrenet to prison for 28 days which incorporates a 14 day sentence for failing bail to be served concurrently.
