A power cut left around 480 properties in parts of Christchurch without electricity today.
A fault was reported this morning at 4.10am, affecting homes in Hurn and Parley Green.
A Scottish and Southern Electric spokesman said: "We can confirm there was a fault on our overhead network at Hurn.
"There was an initial short interruption at 4.06am which was restored within six minutes, then a further interruption at 6.21.
"Supplies were restored in stages with the final supplies coming back on at 3.09pm.
"We would like to thank customers for their patience whilst we carried out the repairs."
