Residents invited to take part in Southbourne beach litter pick

First published in News

ANOTHER litter pick is being organised along the beach in Southbourne after more than 100 people turned out for last week’s effort.

Residents across the area are being invited to Fisherman’s Walk on Sunday at 10.30am where council staff will supply high visibility vests, bags, gloves and litter grabbers to volunteers.

Seafront manager Chris Saunders said many working people who wanted to help were unable to attend last Friday’s clear-up at Boscombe pier because of other commitments.

He added: “By organising it for Sunday we hope even more people are able to come along.”
