BOURNEMOUTH University is applying for planning permission for a new academic building and a replacement car park.
The proposed development at the Talbot Campus would involve a new four-storey building on the site of the current Car Park A, and a replacement surface level car park. It would provide 214 car parking and 17 motorbike spaces at Cutler Close.
The new building would include seminar rooms and lecture theatres, social spaces for students and staff, research space and a catering facility.
The name Park and Stride describes a parking solution that reduces the number of vehicle parking spaces within the campus but provides them within easy walking distance.
The proposal, received by Borough of Poole, includes a service yard and bin store and associated landscaping on the existing car park.
