A CORONER is expected to return a verdict today into the death of Bournemouth military police officer Corporal Anne-Marie Ellement.
Cpl Ellement was found hanged on October 9, 2011.
Two years earlier, she had claimed to have been raped by two soldiers while stationed in Germany.
Her sister Sharon Hardy told the inquest that Anne-Marie was “traumatised” by the decision not to prosecute the soldiers she claimed had raped her.
The inquest has also heard claims that she was bullied by colleagues, including the girlfriend of one of the men she accused of raping her.
She was later transferred to Bulford barracks in Wiltshire, where she was found hanged from a fire escape.
The inquest, at Salisbury Coroner’s Court, is the second into her death after her family won a judicial review to hear all the evidence.
