OVER-30s can now apply for help setting up a business in Bournemouth after the government removed an age bar on its start-up scheme.

Anyone starting an enterprise can now apply for funding from Outset Bournemouth.

Outset Finance, the sister company of Outset Bournemouth, has been appointed a delivery partner for the Start Up Loan scheme and can deliver low-interest loans for entrepreneurs just starting or in business for less than 12 months.

Loans typically range from £2,000 to £10,000 for buying stock, equipping premises or funding the first few months.

Outset Bournemouth is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Bournemouth Borough Council, Bournemouth 2026 and JP Morgan and offers free training for people interested in starting a business.
