RESIDENTS are being invited to help clean-up the town’s beaches and proms following last weekend’s storm.
Today, volunteers can meet at Boscombe Pier at 1pm.
Equipment will be provided, but anyone with hi-vis vests, bags, gloves or litter grabbers is asked to bring them along.
Tomorrow, Bournemouth East MP Tobias Ellwood is asking people to join him on the seafront.
Volunteers are asked to bring their wellies, work gloves, a broom and some British spirit to help get the seafront back in order.
Meet tomorrow at 11am at the council seafront office, next to Boscombe Pier.
All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Volunteers will be broken down into groups and allocated sections of the seafront.
Up to 600 beach huts were damaged during the storms, at least 400 of which were on Bournemouth promenade, some beyond repair, the council has reported.
