WORK to repair a 40-70 sq metre section of pavement in Shore Road, Sandbanks gouged out by last weekend’s storm, is due to start today.
The pavement was damaged when the road was flooded by around 4ft of tidal water last Friday night and Borough of Poole says the work will continue on Friday.
Further work was carried out last night with two oak trees felled on Gravel Hill between 9.30pm and midnight, with a temporary road closure in place between Darby’s Corner and Dunyeats Road to allow for their safe removal.
Traffic controls will be in place today from 10am.
