FUNDRAISERS in Bournemouth and Poole are being urged to take part in an It’s a Knockout tournament in aid of disabled children people in Dorset.
Disability charity Diverse Abilities Plus is holding its second It’s a Knockout competition on Sunday June 22, featuring an action-packed day of games replicating the BBC TV show which aired during the 1960s and 1980s.
Sharon Wells, events fundraiser at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “Why not get a team of friends, family or work colleagues together and join the fun in this action packed adventure race? By signing up for this amusing event, participants will be actively supporting the work of the local charity, and will have a lot of fun in doing so.”
The event takes place at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth and is supported by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
It runs from 10am to 12.30pm.
To take part, a team of eight to 12 people are required, and participants must be aged 16 years or older. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Diverse Abilities Plus is offering half price entry fees if participants register for the event by March 21, saving the team £60. A minimum of £600 per team is also required as sponsorship for the event. The team entry fee after March 21 will be £120.
